In Spotify's Preferences, scroll to the bottom of the page, then select Show Advanced Settings. Hello, I tried this as I am having the same problem but I don't see the "handoff & suggested apps" portion. I've been using Macs for 30 years but if can't resolve this issue I'll just have to dump it and get a PC.
